Stellar pitching leads 8-seed Vandy past 9-seed Rebels

The 8-seed Commodores used strong pitching and baserunning to take down the 9-seed Rebels, 3-1, in the first round of the SEC Tournament. 

Carter Holton started the night off for Vanderbilt on the mound with six strikeouts and only three hits allowed in six innings. Nelson Berkwich and Christian Little closed the game out by allowing only two hits. 

Vanderbilt will face the 1-seed Volunteers on Wednesday, May 25th at an undetermined time.
